Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Alco HH660 409 returned home to Scranton, Pa., on August 12, 2020. Genesee Valley Transportation acquired the 80-year old unit, built in April 1940 from locomotive leaser NWIX.

Railfanning Finger Lakes Railway’s Geneva-Solvay Job
The primary train over the former New York Central Auburn Road between Geneva and Syracuse is symbol GS-2. This train operates from the Finger Lakes’ Geneva Yard eastward across the line to Solvay Yard just west of Syracuse, where it returns to Geneva.

Mertztown Station Open House
The Longswamp Historical Society held an open house at the train station in Mertztown, Pa., on Sunday, August 2, 2020. Local residents and railfans visited the station this day to get a glimpse of the past and see what the inside looked like before the society relocates it.
