Weekly Rail Traffic for the Week Ending February 24, 2024
The Association of American Railroads (AAR) reported U.S. rail traffic for the week ending February 24, 2024. For this week, total U.S. weekly rail traffic was 483,656 carloads and intermodal units, up 7.7 percent compared with the same week last year.

Virginia and North Carolina are Home to the Busiest Amtrak Stations in the Southeast
More people are traveling by train with a record number stopping in Virginia and North Carolina. The top five stations in the Southeast in 2023 were the Staples Mill Road Station in Richmond, Va., Alexandria, Va., Charlotte, N.C., Norfolk, Va., and Raleigh, N.C.
