NJ Transit Football Service to Metlife Stadium Returns
Football fans headed to MetLife Stadium this season can beat the traffic and skip parking with NJ Transit rail service. Beginning this Saturday, August 14th with the Jets vs. Giants pre-season kickoff and continuing through the regular season, NJ Transit will be offering Meadowlands train service to and from Secaucus Junction for each and every Jets or Giants home game.

Rail Traffic for the Week Ending August 7, 2021
The Association of American Railroads (AAR) reported U.S. rail traffic for the week ending August 7, 2021. For this week, total U.S. weekly rail traffic was 509,607 carloads and intermodal units, up 2.4 percent compared with the same week last year.

Brightline Announces Plans to Resume Service
Brightline announced today its plans to resume service in South Florida later this year. STB Institutes A Proceeding on Amtrak’s Application For an Order Allowing Operations Over CSXT and NSR Lines Along the Gulf Coast
The Surface Transportation Board has instituted a proceeding on the application filed by the National Passenger Railroad Corporation (Amtrak) under 49 U.S.C. § 24308(e), which seeks an STB order requiring CSX Transportation, Inc. (CSXT), and Norfolk Southern Railway Company (NSR) to allow Amtrak to operate additional intercity passenger trains over their lines along the Gulf Coast between New Orleans, La., and Mobile, Ala.
