VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) has announced that its last route which was suspended due to COVID-19, the Ocean, will be gradually resuming service starting August 11. As it had been done for the other VIA Rail services, the return to operation will occur progressively beginning with one weekly round trip. The first westbound train will depart Halifax on August 11 and the first eastbound train will depart Montreal on August 15.
