Summerail 2020 Cancelled

The popular railroad multimedia railroad show, presented each August in Marion, Ohio, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organizers issued a statement, as follows:  “It is with deepest regret that the planning committee of Summerail 2020 are compelled to announce that it has been cancelled. This was not a decision made easily; however, in order for there to be a Summerail 2021, it had to be done. There is no way to socially distance a railroadiana show, nor the Friday night shows at Marion Union Station. While we could enable social distancing at the theater, the fact that there would be no railroadiana show, nor the Friday night shows, coupled with the hesitation of folks to travel and stay in hotels, it just wouldn’t be Summerail. Summerail is an expensive production and if we proceeded and so few tickets were sold, there might not be a Summerail 2021. While this decision is most regretful, we hope you understand and will join us in 2021 to make it the best Summerail ever!”
