SEPTA added service to all Regional Rail lines under a schedule change that took effect on Sunday, Dec. 19. The changes are designed to better accommodate current riders and add options for others who may return to in-person work and other activities in early 2022.
The changes will bring Regional Rail service to 75 percent of pre-COVID levels, up from approximately 65 percent currently. Regional Rail ridership has returned gradually over the past year and is currently at about 40 percent of pre-pandemic levels.
Schedules on SEPTA’s transit modes, including buses, subways and trolleys, have already returned to near pre-pandemic levels. Transit ridership has also seen steady growth, and now stands at approximately 52 percent of pre-COVID levels.
The added Regional Rail trips are listed by line on SEPTA’s website, which also has the schedules. Timetables will also be updated on the Official SEPTA App.
