The Central of New Jersey Veterans Association chartered a special train for Armed Forces Day over the Chesapeake & Delaware’s High Bridge and Chester Branches on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 21, 2022. The locomotive and crew were provided by the Chesapeake & Delaware Railroad, while the cars, caboose and staff were furnished by the Whippany Railway Museum.

The CNJ Veteran Employees Association excursion operated over the Morris County-owned, former DL&W Chester Branch, and the former CNJ High Bridge Branch in northern New Jersey. Two trips were run by the current operator of the rail lines, Chesapeake & Delaware Railroad.
