SEPTA’s Board approved a total budget of $2.7 billion for Fiscal Year 2027 – a $1.84 billion Operating Budget and $920.7 million Capital Budget. The spending plan represents an increase of just 1.9% over the current year, and includes investments in new buses, more full-length fare gates and other enhancements for customers.

Amtrak and Penn Transformation Partners (PTP) announced they have finalized a Pre-Development Agreement (PDA) for the historic overhaul of New York Penn Station. The Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) approved the Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP) for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) yesterday, which will allocate $28.5 billion to transportation projects over the next six fiscal years beginning July 1, 2026.
