Amtrak Full Restores Service to Hartford Line
In coordination with state partners at the Connecticut and Massachusetts Departments of Transportation, beginning Monday, April 25, Amtrak is restoring service of Amtrak Hartford Line Service trains (operating between New Haven, CT and Springfield, MA via Hartford, CT) in response to anticipated increased demand. Seven total trains will return, including two weekday trains, one Saturday train and four Sunday trains. This restores all Amtrak Hartford Line trains to pre-pandemic (before March 2020) levels.

CSX Paints C30-7 Locomotive for KSHC
This week, the CSX Huntington, West Virginia shops will roll out another freshly painted locomotive, as is done routinely by the Jacksonville, Florida-based Fortune-500 transportation company. On Monday, however, their most recent rendering is a homage to a vanishing era in American railroading; a cosmetically restored General Electric C30-7, a locomotive that ruled the rails in Appalachia over three decades ago.

Lackawanna Railway MU Motor Will Return To New Jersey
Tri-State is happy to announce that after nearly a year of planning a genuine Lackawanna m.u. motorcar is coming home to New Jersey. Working with the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum and BDP Holdings LLC, Tri-State will oversee the professional restoration of Lackawanna m.u. motorcar 2628 to be ultimately installed as a defining feature of Lackawanna Plaza, a community-oriented redevelopment project based around the Montclair Terminal, now owned by BDP Holdings LLC.

Amtrak Greenwood, Mississippi Station Upgraded:
Amtrak customers in this northern Mississippi city now have a smoother, brighter and more accessible journey with the famous Amtrak City of New Orleans train. A $5.4 million project is now complete and local leaders joined with Amtrak officials to cut the ribbon this week.

CSX Announces First Quarter 2022 Financial Results
CSX Corp. today announced first quarter 2022 net earnings of $859 million, or $0.39 per share, compared to $706 million, or $0.31 per share in the same period last year. First quarter 2022 operating income was $1.28 billion compared to $1.10 billion in the prior year period.

CSX Announces Advances on Future Wage Adjustments for Unionized Operations Employees
CSX Corp. announced it has reached a tentative agreement with the Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers, Transportation Division (SMART-TD) to provide SMART-TD Trainmen and Yardmasters with monthly advance payments on future wage adjustments anticipated in settlement of the 2020 round of national bargaining between rail labor and the Class I railroads. CSX also notified its other labor organization representatives that it intends to reach agreements to provide identical payments to all unionized employees.

SEPTA Announces New Regional Rail Schedules
SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to select Regional Rail schedules starting next week. These updates will impact the Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Trenton, Warminster, and West Trenton Lines.
