West Chester Railroad Vandalism

On Friday, July 28, at approximately 8:00PM, nine juveniles entered the West Chester Railroad’s West Chester, Pa. yard. In the 15 minutes they roamed the yard, climbed up on equipment and broke windows on B&O S2 9115, broke one window in a coach, and smashed the windshield of a hyrail truck. West Chester Borough Police Department was notified and a report was filed. The railroad has received an outpouring of support from the community since Friday evening’s trespassing and vandalism incident. In cooperation with the West Chester Police Department, the railroad is working to confirm the identities of the trespassers using the footage from security cameras. To help support the railroad and help  repair damaged equipment, please consider purchasing tickets for one of the excursions, or making a tax deductible donation to the West Chester Railroad Heritage Association at this link: https://www.dynamicticketsolutions.com/wcrr/donations.cfm
