Tropical Storm Ida Impacts NJ Transit Service

NJ Transit is experiencing  service suspensions, delays and detours due to the significant impacts from Tropical Storm Ida  throughout New Jersey.  A synopsis of NJ Transit operations are:

Rail

All rail service remains suspended with the exception of the Atlantic City Rail Line, which continues to operate. Rail service will remain suspended until a full assessment of damages is completed and necessary inspections have been made.

Bus

Bus service will continue to operate, but expect significant statewide delays, cancellations and extensive detours due to severe flooding and multiple vehicles blocking roadways.

Newark Light Rail

Newark Light Rail service has resumed on the Broad Street Extension between Newark Penn Station and Newark Broad Street and on the Mainline between Grove Street and Warren Street Stations.

Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Service

Service is operating with weather-related delays on a modified schedule.  Substitute bus service is being provided between Tonnelle Avenue and Hoboken, and between Newport and 2nd Street.

River LINE

Service is operating on a regular weekday schedule, however is it subject to weather-related delays.
