The Reading & Northern Railroad’s former Reading Company T-1 4-8-4 steam locomotive 2102 continues to undergo restoration. The project to restore the 2102 began in 2016, with employees and contractors working on the locomotive five to six days per week. The railroad had expected that an initial hydro test was to be completed in March, 2020. Afterward, work will commence on the reassembly of the locomotive and then repainting. The 2102 will see use on excursion trains throughout the 400 mile Reading & Northern Railroad.
