During this National Safety Month, NJ TRANSIT reminds customers that keeping safety top-of-mind is a year-round commitment when it comes to riding public transit. Whether on the rails or on the roads, vigilantly paying attention to signs, sounds and warnings is key to arriving safely. To denote the month this year, NJ TRANSIT has unveiled a specially wrapped bus and River LINE light rail vehicle reminding residents to keep safety top of mind.

“Safety is a core value of NJ TRANSIT’s mission. While we do everything possible to ensure customer safety, safety is everyone’s responsibility. All of us need to be vigilant at all times when riding public transit, and National Safety Month provides an opportunity to highlight our ongoing efforts,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kris Kolluri. “When it comes to public transit, safety is always our route.”

NJ TRANSIT marked National Safety Month by unveiling a special bus wrap and River LINE wrap. The wraps will be visible on buses between Trenton and Philadelphia and Jersey City, Bayonne, Weehawken and New York, as well as on the River LINE.

During the month, NJ TRANSIT will share tips and reminders on social media to reinforce safety on and near the transit system throughout New Jersey. Tips will include safety strategies and protocols for those who ride, work or live around NJ TRANSIT facilities.
