NJ Transit Launches Rewards Program

NJ TRANSIT has officially launched its new customer rewards pilot program, NJT REWARDS, which gives NJ TRANSIT customers the chance to save at participating shops, cultural attractions, restaurants, and other businesses. The free rewards program opened for early notification last month, and as of today, NJ TRANSIT customers can start earning points for great deals!

To earn points as an NJT REWARDS member, customers must purchase rail, bus and light rail tickets through the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App during the pilot. Access Link customers will soon be able to join and earn rewards for their purchases as well.

A number of businesses and attractions have already signed up to take part in NJT REWARDS, including Blu Grotto Ristorante in Oceanport, the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in Manhattan, Lionel Trains, and The New York Sightseeing Pass.

“Liberty Science Center is excited to become part of the NJT REWARDS Program,” said Paul Marsh, Vice President of Communications and Marketing at LSC. “Thousands of our guests and members travel on NJ TRANSIT to visit the Science Center regularly, and the new loyalty program will be a great expansion of our long partnership.”

“We have been a partner of NJ TRANSIT for many years now, and the museum is excited to be a part of their new loyalty program, from the very start!  We want to be as accessible to the community as we can and participating in programs like this one will hopefully help make visiting the museum easier for customers of NJ TRANSIT,” said Desiree Siegel of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.

“As a longtime partner of NJ TRANSIT we are excited to continue the relationship in a new digital format allowing us the ability to speak directly to the customers and introduce them to Lionel Trains,” said Howard Hitchcock, CEO of Lionel.

Jarret Haedrich, the chief operating officer of the Atlas Model Railroad Company in Hillside, said NJT REWARDS is the continuation of a relationship the business has had with NJ TRANSIT for decades: “We look forward to working closely with NJ TRANSIT for the successful launch of their loyalty program, as well as future promotional collaborations!”

Stephen Fay, president of Munipals, a manufacturer of wooden toy trains, said, “I am excited to partner with NJ TRANSIT on their new loyalty program.”

NJT REWARDS continues to grow with the participation of new partners and additional perks. Customers can visit njtrewards.com to learn more about the program and to sign up or customers can join the program via the mobile app.

NJT REWARDS is designed to support businesses across the state. No matter the size of their business, merchants are invited to join Liberty Science Center, Blu Grotto and others to participate as a partner in the NJT REWARDS program. Interested businesses can register beginning today at njtrewards.com/partner.
