New SEPTA Regional Rail Schedules

SEPTA is advising customers that some changes are being made to Regional Rail schedules starting this weekend.  New timetables will go into effect on Sunday, August 21. This schedule includes the extension of service to Wawa Station on the Media/Wawa Line, with early-morning inbound, late-night outbound, and express trips.

In addition, SEPTA will adjust the schedules for the bus routes that connect to Wawa Station. Effective Sunday, August 28, select weekday trips and most weekend trips on Route 111 will be extended to serve Wawa Station, and all Chadds Ford trips on Route 114 will serve Wawa Station.

Below are other highlights of the upcoming Regional Rail service adjustments:

  • Restoration of early-morning weekend trips on the Airport Line
  • Addition of earlier trips to Center City on the Trenton, Lansdale/Doylestown, and West Trenton Lines
  • Various earlier and later departure times

The changes will maintain Regional Rail service at 77 percent of pre-COVID levels. Regional Rail ridership has returned gradually and is currently at about 45 percent of pre-pandemic levels.

SEPTA would also like to remind riders that parking at Regional Rail stations will continue to be free through December.

Riders who may need a refresher on SEPTA Key, including how to use Travel Wallet, tap on and off for fare validation on Regional Rail, and purchase or reload a Key Card, should visit the SEPTA Key ecommerce site at septakey.org.

Customers are encouraged to check the schedules for their lines at septa.org/schedules/upcoming-rail.html, or look for the schedule change alert on the official SEPTA app.
