MTA Metro-North Railroad today announced that Hudson Line weekend service to and from New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie will operate on a modified schedule between July 25 and Sept. 13 to allow crews to perform track work between Beacon and Poughkeepsie.

During this period, weekend trains to and from New Hamburg and Poughkeepsie will generally operate every two hours. Several trains that normally begin and end at Poughkeepsie on weekends will instead begin and end at Beacon; hourly service between Grand Central Terminal and Beacon remains effective during this trackwork.

The planned service changes will not be in effect on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, when trains will operate on a holiday schedule.
