Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Metro-North Railroad today announced an upcoming schedule change which will go into effect on Sunday, Oct. 6. The updated schedule features additional weekend service and increased service for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
Some departure times, especially on the New Haven Line, have moved a few minutes earlier or later to improve reliability. Customers can check the new schedules or use the TrainTime app for trip changes.
At Grand Central Terminal, track assignments for outbound trains will be posted on screens and via the TrainTime app 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure time, instead of 30. This will mean less waiting on platforms for train doors to open.
