The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has announced that Metro-North Railroad’s popular Leaf Peeper trains returned on, Saturday, Oct. 3, giving customers more ways to visit the Hudson Valley during peak fall foliage season.
Each weekend through Nov. 8, five additional morning trains will travel north toward Beacon and Poughkeepsie, and 11 extra express trains will travel between Grand Central Terminal and Croton-Harmon, stopping at Harlem-125th Street, Tarrytown, and Ossining, serving riders who want to visit the legendary Village of Sleepy Hollow this fall.
On the return trip via the Hudson Line, there will be three additional afternoon trains from Poughkeepsie and Beacon making trips returning to Grand Central Terminal, as well as nine additional express trains from Croton-Harmon to Grand Central Terminal, stopping at Ossining, Tarrytown, and Harlem-125th Street.
