LIRR Announces New Fall Schedules Starting Nov. 9

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced that the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will institute new service changes beginning Monday, Nov. 9, on all 11 branches. The LIRR announced that some midday weekday and weekend trains will leave earlier to assist in the advance of track maintenance and station accessibility projects. No rush hour trains will be affected by the service changes.

All train lines will experience service changes. Trains not listed below may still be affected. Riders are advised to check their routes using the TrainTime app.

  • There will be two local trains per hour between Manhattan and Babylon: one serving Penn Station and one serving Grand Central.
