The CSX Santa Train will return to the rails Saturday, November 19, for its 80th year! Feedback and community support, in addition to positive developments regarding staffing, have made it possible for the train to run its traditional route from Shelby Yard near Pikeville, Kentucky  to Kingsport, Tennessee, operating over the former Clinchfield Railroad.  During the summer the  Kingsport Times  News  had reported that train was be cancelled for the third year in the row due to staffing and supply chain related issues.
