Canadian Pacific is preparing 4-6-4 steam locomotive  2816, the “Empress”  for a special cross-continental voyage from Calgary, Alberta to Mexico City, Mexico to celebrate completion of the proposed CP-Kansas City Southern merger, pending regulatory approval. The train will celebrate the connecting of a continent through the creation of the new railroad CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kanas City). Railpace Hotnews will post details of this trip as new develops.
