The Colebrookdale Railroad, located in Boyertown, Pa. has announced that it has acquired two steam locomotives, Grand Trunk Western – Class J-3-a Pacific No. 5030 and Lake Superior & Ishpeming class SC-4 2-8-0 No. 18. Grand Trunk Western No. 5030 was donated to the City of Jackson, Michigan in 1957 and is currently display in North Lawn Park just of Lansing Ave. The Colebrookdale Railroad plans to restored the 5030 to service. Lake Superior & Ishpeming No. 18 was first restored by the Grand Canyon Railroad in the 1980’s and had been in operation since. No word on when the locomotives will move to the Colebrookdale Railroad nor has an operating plan been announced concerning steam operations.
