Coach cars from Exo are en route from Montreal, Quebec to SEPTA! The cars will be overhauled upon arrival at Frazer Yard to work with the push/pull locomotives in SEPTA’s fleet. The coaches were purchased earlier this year with funds from the $220M in additional capital dollars allocated by Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro in November 2025 to support urgent safety upgrades and infrastructure improvements. The Exo cars will bolster SEPTA’s fleet and join the ten railcars leased from Maryland Area Regional Commuter Rail (MARC) last December.
