Chestnut Hill East Bridge Rehabilitation Program

SEPTA will rehabilitate five bridges along the Chestnut Hill East service line beginning in June 2025 through August 2025, between Wayne Junction in Germantown (Nicetown-Tioga) and Cresheim Valley Drive in Northwest Philadelphia.

As a result of this work, the entirety of the Chestnut Hill East Line will be suspended for service, beginning Sunday, June 15 at 12 midnight and ending Tuesday, September 2 at 5 am. No trains will run on the Chestnut Hill East Line during this time frame.

To accommodate the lack of service on Chestnut Hill East, there will be additional service provided on the Chestnut Hill West Line. Alternatively, riders can also utilize the Route 23 bus line, which makes frequent stops.

Riders can also utilize plan.septa.org for nearby available bus routes and real-time planning.
