Effective November 10, 2024 Amtrak will combine the Capitol Limited (Chicago-Washington and return) and the Silver Star (New York to Miami and return) into a new train operating from Chicago to Miami and return. The new train will be named the Floridian and will receive train numbers 40 and 41.
