NJ TRANSIT customers may find their train, bus or light rail vehicle is decked out in festive holiday decorations this season. The agency has unveiled a fleet of decorated train cars, buses, and Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) to wish Happy Holidays to customers statewide. This special holiday fleet will be in service throughout December, providing customers with tidings of joy! The holidays typically see many new customers traveling across the region, so NJ TRANSIT has also launched a new “How to Ride” online guide to assist customers utilizing NJ TRANSIT services.
The holiday fleet consists of three decorated train cars, two buses and one light rail car set, which will be in service until January 2, 2024. Two of the train cars operate across lines in North Jersey, while the third car runs on the Atlantic City Rail Line. One of the buses is operating on routes in North Jersey, while the second one is in South Jersey. Additionally, there is one decorated light rail car set in service on the Newark Light Rail.
The “How to Ride” guide, now available here, guides prospective travelers through the basics of using NJ TRANSIT services, offers step-by-step information for new customers looking to plan a trip, and provides tips and guidance for seasoned customers looking to make their experience even more enjoyable and efficient. The guide is segmented into three sections organized by mode of travel – Train (Rail), Bus, or Light Rail – and has an interactive feel with different options appearing depending on the mode of travel or payment that an individual selects.
